The whole Coffee craze has swept the world. Unfortunately according to Chinese Medicine, Coffee is probably not the best thing for you. Why? Because it affects your liver and if you are having wine too it will have double the effect on your liver.
If you need a pick me up in the morning then maybe you need more rest. The more rest we get the more energy we have, then maybe we won’t need the coffee to pick us up everyday. I often hear people saying, “I can’t wait to have a cup of coffee to get me going for the day” and my question is how come they don’t have enough energy without it?, Why are you so tried that you need coffee to get you through the day?
I’m on my bandwagon of trying to get people strong and healthy. Coffee is a drug and in the long run it will affect your health. It is actually not good for people. People say to me “But I only have one cup a day”. To me it like saying I only have one shot of speed a day, they are both drugs.
How can you stop the need for consuming coffee and restore your natural energy levels?
1. If you are currently having more than one cup a day then maybe try to cut it down to one cup a day to start with and then cut it out all together. This will stop all the highs and lows in your energy associated with Coffee consumption.
2. Get more rest so you don’t get so tired and you will have more energy.
3. Get your highs a different way rather than having an artificial stimulant. I know this isn’t an easy one for coffee drinkers but ask somebody who has given up coffee how they feel. It will make a difference in your health and certainly make a lot of difference in your daily energy.
The up you get with a coffee are unfortunately followed by quite a severe down and this is not very good for your health, liver or your body. Test out the above suggestions and consider adding a morning Qigong Practice to boost your energy levels naturally.
Wishing you well on your journey to natural energy levels and highs without the lows.
