His mission is to help people discover their true essence and live with abundant freedom.

Peter has put his life’s learnings, teachings and experience together to create a deeply and profound life changing experience using the art of Qigong, to teach others how they too can share this treasure.

Peter is a member of the World Academy Society of Medical Qigong.

Peter has studied self-cultivation methods for 22 years. In that time, he has focused his attention to Tai ji quan, Yin Yang Ba Pan (Ba Gua) and many different systems of Qi gong, both Wei dan (external) and Nei dan (internal) across the medical, martial, spiritual and scholarly styles of practice.

Peter Larking

Alex is really passionate about Chinese medicine.  She lives, breathes and sleeps it. Her background is in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture combined with Chinese Medical Qigong and Taiji.  Alex completed her studies at the New Zealand School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture 10 years ago, graduating with a Health Science degree and Qigong and Taiji Diplomas.

Alex loves travel and adventure and as a family they have lived in Africa, Romania, Australia, New Orleans and Greece. They currently live in Napier, New Zealand where Alex runs her own Acupuncture Clinic.

Lucky to complete an internship as part of her degree, Alex worked at a local hospital for 12 months treating pregnant women in crisis and learning about fertility from a Chinese medical perspective.  She now applies this invaluable knowledge in her clinical practice.

Alex will be teaching Five Elements Level one theory, Male and Female Fertility, and the Shi Ba Shi,  5 Elements and Heaven to Earth Qigong systems.

A keen athlete, Alex loves to run and ocean swim and has entered in many races over the last 20 years. This year she is considering competing in the New Zealand Iron man.

“I like to think of myself as a good allrounder. I like to live life to the fullest, I like to ask myself this question every night and the answer be YES.  Did I make the most of today by living it to the fullest without being reckless and causing harm?”

Alex Rowberry

Q: What is your average class size?

Our training is likely to sell out, so expect a full class of 30 students.

Q: I don’t want to be a teacher, can I still take the training?

Yes, many of our students take the trainings just to deepen their practice.

Q: Are the trainings physically difficult?

Qigong is a gentle form of exercise and you don’t need any prior experience of Qigong to be able to attend. It is recommended that you are in reasonable good health as you will be practicing physical exercises.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, training can be broken into monthly payment.

Q: What are the pre-requisites for attending?

We recommend having practiced at least 1 year before doing the 200 hour training.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a spot. If for some reason you cannot attend the training, you can apply your deposit to a future training with Forest Rock.

Q. How early should I arrive prior to the training?

This is entirely up to you. If you are travelling long distances, you may want to allow some extra time to get settled in. Also, please consider any Visa restrictions.

Q. What about medical care?

In the case of minor illnesses or injuries, there are a few medical clinics in the local Ubud area and several international clinics closer to the airport. These clinics typically do not accept insurance (though you may be reimbursed through your insurance provider) and are relatively inexpensive. If situations require extreme medical emergency care, patients are evacuated to Singapore. Due to significant cost evacuation care, it is advisable to check this coverage is included on your medical plan.

For just over 3 weeks, you will completely absorb yourself in the ancient art of Qigong, Qigong Healing, Traditional Chinese medicine and philosophy.

It is the Schools’ philosophy to live in harmony with not only each other,

but with all aspects of nature, the Earth we live on and the Universe we live in.

From this understanding we observe our deep relentless search for inner contentment

in a world that is constantly changing, where as human beings we have ultimate choice.

And to observe that it is our primal desire to discover and understand why we are here,

and to find inner peace.
